Estrogen Weekend - Links
I've always been a late bloomer. And ironically, because I was so busy mocking the men-folk these past few days, I almost missed out on Estrogen Week. So, to rectify the situation, here's my recommended reading list of thought-provoking posts by bloggers sans Y:
Elayne Riggs has a different take on the politics of linking.
I have to admit that I first thought Condi's Matrix outfit this week was a little too Eva Braun-esque. But, after reading Ann Althouse's These boots were made for running for president, I'm re-thinking that.
PSSST! Grace Davis is funnier than I am. She's a much better writer, too. Check out I bring back the Flowbee and pimp for an A.
Whenever I'm feeling the need to reduce my snark-o-meter and get serious, I head for Body and Soul. This week, Jeanne has an interesting piece up about Ahmed Chalabi.
eRobin points to Froomkin's latest, which connects the nefarious dots between BushCo and Putin. Yep, "W" stands for Women just like Putin stands for Democracy.
Writing at Media Girl, Morgaine Swann instructs us on How to Talk to a Christian.
For the Record points to the March edition of Vanity Fair wherein Christopher Hitchens waxes sensible (for once) about the Ohio elections.
Obsidian Wings is one of my favorite blogs, although I seldom comment or link to it. "Must-read" is an overused phrase, so I'll say that Hilzoy's Hatred is a Poison is among the best posts I've read. Bookmark it now for next year's Kofaxes.
More links to come. Stay tuned.
Thanks for the nice plug! And by the way, you're frustrating the heck out of me, that's at least three more names I've added to my "Gals in Waiting" bookmarks because of you. :) In other news, e-mail me if you want to come up to NYC next weekend to have dinner with Perranoski Prize winner NTodd Pritsky...

If NTodd wants me to go to the prom with hm, he's going to have to ask me himself. :-)
BTW: Someone needs to verify the spelling on Perranoski, which I believe may be Perranowski.

Heather MacDonald wants to know why some in the Y-deprived community get so shrill and unreasonably demanding. My inner caveman admits to enjoying a good catfight, but my softer, socially responsible yin wonders, why can't we all just get along?

LOL, Rox! No seriously, I'm kinda coordinating it on NTodd's behalf 'cause, um, I kinda volunteered... so consider yourself invited if you want to hop the Acela up here...

Send me an email with the particulars and I'll see what I can do.

Hey there, Roxanne. How's it going? Still blogging? Cool. Me too. Not to brag, but I even won an award. Oh, you did too? Wow, we have a lot in common.
I've also been spending a lot of time reading women bloggers lately. Did you know there are women bloggers? Pretty neat.
So, um...I was wondering, if you're not doing anything next Saturday--are you busy, because if you are, I understand. But, erm...I was wondering, if you're NOT busy, well, maybe you could come up to NYC to, you know, grab a bite to eat or something.
Anyway, I'd love to, ah...talk more about you about women bloggers, and maybe why there aren't more men blogging. Totally no pressure. Whattaya think?

"Hatred is a Poison," but whatever

Thanks for the link, Rox :)

Sheesh, Rox, talk about pimp. Thank you for the kind words, oh Pagan Goddess of us all. But I will have to credit the Flowbee. Throw the Flow into the mix and you've got a winner of an entry.
Oh! And! Take a look at the comments - my instructor posted one. I am the Brown Nosing Queen.
