Remember that time I quit blogging and no one even noticed?
Posted by: Roxanne | 28 January 2007 at 11:59
It's not that no one noticed, it's that you're not allowed to quit blogging. You can take a break, if you like, sort of an offline siesta, but you don't get to quit. There's no support groups out there for "recovering" bloggers.
Posted by: greyNOTgray | 28 January 2007 at 12:24
Well, I noticed but I just didn't want to be FRIST!
See you around the tubes, Roxanne, and thanks.
Posted by: J— | 28 January 2007 at 12:55
You better be kidding, Roxanne. Because greyNOTgray is right, you know -- there are no support groups. I've looked.
Posted by: Michael Bérubé | 28 January 2007 at 13:26
If you would like to blog here, Michael, be my guest. LOL.
Posted by: Roxanne | 28 January 2007 at 13:29
no, Rox, serioiusly, whatup girlfriend? You're just walking out??? Life ain't fair, so I can't fault you for not being different, but I can whine and bitch with the best of them if you don't at least come up with a good lie to explain your disappearance. What's going on?
Posted by: greyNOTgray | 28 January 2007 at 15:01
Yes Rox, this has served as one of the soft landing pads for the Bérubic diaspora, ... but of course that is certainly no claim.
I will just have to find somewhere else to outsource my musical taste. (Or you could do a last massive dump of all of your recommendations.)
Good luck in all future endeavors.

I've been there before - and come back at least twice. Good luck on the "break".

Michael gets out, then he pulls others back in. NICE, Berube!
R- you did it your way.
To you (a toast).

greyNOTgray:
The thought of being removed from Atrios' blogroll, along with the ensuing public humiliation, was too much to bear.
Posted by: Roxanne | 28 January 2007 at 20:07
Well, if it's about Atrios' blogroll update, then I understand. That was the real reason for my retirement, too.
I'll clink Pinko Punko's glass -- here's to you, Roxanne, and thanks so much for all the great blogging over the years. The Iraq Study Group thanks you, too, for one post in particular.

Oh now what the HELL.
Posted by: ilyka | 28 January 2007 at 21:02
All 13 people who saw that post thought it was simply hilarious.
Posted by: Roxanne | 28 January 2007 at 21:21
See, now this is where I run around yelling "noooooooooooo". Don't leave!
Posted by: shayera | 29 January 2007 at 01:07
NOOOOOOOoooooooooooOOOOOOO
NOOOOOOOoooooooooooOOOOOOO
*breat
NOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOOOOooo
Come on, we will comment more... How can we go on without a "caption this" fix? Or a blogger who has their own radio station to play... or get a blogger who changes her site design into new and fresh looks?
I would have noticed this post quicker... I just thought the site wouldn't load on my crappy service quickly.
In the words of KWS... Please Don't Go!
Posted by: Marked Hoosier | 29 January 2007 at 01:37
um, *breath
God hates H's...
Hey what if KC and the Sunshine Band said please don't go?
Posted by: Marked Hoosier | 29 January 2007 at 01:41
Plenty of people do captions: Norbizness and Shakespeare's Sister immediately come to mind.
Posted by: Roxanne | 29 January 2007 at 08:48
sorry roxanne, i simply don't accept this. remember a couple of years ago when you tried to stop doing the "write your own caption" thing and your readers made you start it again?
well, we're making you continue blogging. you can take a break, but you're not allowed to leave us altogether. i'm sorry. but that's just how it is.
Posted by: upyernoz | 29 January 2007 at 09:15
Nope. I don't accept this. Not happening.
Posted by: Mustang Bobby | 29 January 2007 at 10:06
Oh, come on! Just when I was having so much fun baiting the troll! :-)
Posted by: Vince | 29 January 2007 at 10:07
You still owe a Chowchilla blog post before retiring...
Posted by: PSoTD | 29 January 2007 at 10:29
Ah, Chowchilla. Did you know BSG's Ron Moore also lived in Chowchilla? And no, he wasn't kidnapped either.
Does that count?
Posted by: Roxanne | 29 January 2007 at 10:47
Nope. Tell you what, you keep blogging full posts about it, and I'll tell you when it counts. :)
Posted by: PSoTD | 29 January 2007 at 11:11
Well, shoot. This is disappointing news. Thanks for hanging in as long as you did, Roxanne. Your blog was always worth a look. Good luck and bunches of happiness to you.
Posted by: peter ramus | 29 January 2007 at 11:51
No!
Damn.
I'll miss you, Rox.
Please don't be a stranger.
