Who the Hell is Debbie Schlussel?

I don't know much about her, other than she's just another wingnut in a long line of crazy-ass wingnuts. Could someone else fill me in?

Hmm..where do I start?

I think Debbie doesn't like Muslims and immigrants. All else I think follows from there. The right-wing talking heads think she's somewhat of an "expert" on Islam. She has recently used her "expertise" to go after Barack Obama.

She is a wingnut columnist who is known for her random capitalization. I find her to be the most entertaining wingnut of the lot.

I suspect she expected first-string pundits to identify with her shameless publicity whoring and see her as charming. By and large, they seem to be avoiding the opportunity to be associated with her in droves.

For what it's worth...she used to go on the Howard Stern show right after 9/11 to say the same stuff. He seemed to humor her in an effort to get her into discussions of a more sexual nature. After a while, he got tired of her refusal to move the conversation in a direction more interesting to his listeners and she evaporated. Her credentials as an "expert" on terrorism and muslims were never described.

Howard Stern used to let her rant on about her latest conspiracy theory (she always seemed to believe that those supporting a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian/Isreali conflict were in bed with terrorists) and then, I guess when she started to bore him, inevitably interrupt her and say, "Debbie, when was the last time you got some?" Amazingly, even that didn't shut her up.

Debbie Schlussel is so radically twisted she attacks other wingnuts as well. She attacked the female wingnut author of "My Vast Rightwing Conspiracy Blog" for no good reason other than being frustrated with being so homely.

She's twiated and more unhinged than Malkin. At least Malkin is somewhat easier on the eyes. Schlussel likes to remind everyone that she once made Howard Stern's hotlist. I think she looks like Rachel Dratch from Staurday Night Live and 30 Rock. She is no beauty...hat a beast.
