It looks like Taylor noticed the same thing I noticed last night.
"They're trying to bamboozle you. It's the same old okie-doke. Y'all know about okie doke, right? ... They try to bamboozle you. Hoodwink ya. Try to hoodwink ya. Alright, I'm having too much fun here. ... "
- Barack Obama"You've been hoodwinked. You've been had. You've been took. You've been led astray, led amok. You’ve been bamboozled." - Malcolm X
For myself, I kind of like the fact Obama would repurpose Malcolm X in 2008. But, I'm not sure it's going to work with those disgruntled Republicans and Independents his campaign is going after with the message of "everyone coming together" and whatnot.
UPDATE: It looks like the section quoted above was from a different speech Obama gave recently in South Carolina and not his victory speech last night. With all the footage I saw last night, I must have gotten confused.
Agreed. However, if the Republicans notice, then it may backfire on them if they do bring it up. As in, they are nuts living in the past (which they are).

Oh, it works with this disgruntled Republican alright.

You know, I didn't even know Obama was black until the Clintons injected race into the campaign. Was Malcolm X black too? I'll only know for sure if Bill Clinton says he was, and of course, it would be unfair for him to do so.

It's rather unfair of Obama to inject race into this race by bringing up Malcom X. I'm now voting for Hillary because of this.

For my part, I wish all the Democratic candidates would bring up Malcolm X.

I would've preferred "[b]e peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery," but the line used will suffice. NO MORE OKIE-DOKE would make a heckuva bumper sticker.

whats wrong with malcom X? is it a fear thing? anywho, whoever wins, (poor mr or mrs next president)

Yeah, I think the presidency is going to suck for whoever has that job next.

Bamboozled is also the name of a Spike Lee movie, about race in the entertainment business.

"Led amok"? That phrase really doesn't work. "Led" implies something passive, receptive, while "amok" implies something chaotic, out of control.
I think Malcolm should have given more thought to his words. What was he, in the middle of a revolution or something?

Oh, please. The Republican will use it as "proof" he's a Muslim.
