Why Does Maureen Dowd Have a Hate Hard-On for the Clintons?
If I were the New York Times' resident sister punisher (AKA the World's Most Obnoxious Feminist Concern TrollTM), perhaps I would write about how the New York Times' resident sister punisher's apparent need for time on the couch is only surpassed by one Andrew Sullivan ...instead of writing about how her ideas are wrong-headed or how her record on the issues leaves much to be desired.
See more reaction to Dowd's drivel here.

Maureen Dowd is just like FOX & Friends" gang the Most biased clueless political team on TV- Next to the old cronie Chris Matthews on MSNBC. Biggest IDIOT in the news goes to Bill Kristol! Who said this guy knows anything about voters; he gives gay people a bad name? Fred Barnes, Mort Kondracke, Bill Kristol and Nina Easton ALL looked like deer in the head lights all night! Could not think of anything to say on camera. Since they were proven they did not have a clue!!! We laughed at FOX trying to keep talking about republican race that ended 15 min after the polls closed.
Clueless-EASTON: She's not going to pull it out here. WRONG
Clueless-KRISTOL: She has lost the first two states, it looks like, and I think she'll lose the next couple. WRONG
Clueless-Barnes: She's the problem, that's what people don't like. They don't like her. They don't trust her. WRONG

I'll have to read that book one day, but to be honest, it terrifies me.

Wow, what animosity. As Steinem wrote yesterday, "there is still no 'right' way to be a woman in public power without being considered a you-know-what," especially if the one doing the considering is named Dowd and the woman in question is named Clinton.

To be fair, I think Dowd would do that to ANY woman who isn't the Queen Bee (Dowd). That's her MO. Might not be so entirely vindictive, tho.

Yes, I agree. It's a question of scale, with the relay "HRC" sending the Dowdian vindictometer to 11.

Maureen Dowd's position on Hillary is openly declared and long-standing. Hillary feels she deserves to be president for having put up with Bill for so long. She is calling in favors she earned while supporting him through Monicagate.

Why oh why does Dowdy hate Clinton so? She certainly never REALLY tells.
Maybe Dowdy just can't stand to see someone break a glass ceiling higher than her glorified gossip column. Geez, Clinton might even get health care coverage for more than the 700,000 children she already took care of, another 47 million Americans, plus cover those whose present coverage doesn't, get America out of Iraq, can NCLB -- just for starters, doing a heckofalot more than what Dowdy Feathers can ever write about.
Boy, has Dowdy taken a dive into the canyon of no return. Ten to one, there's money in it for the old bird. Maybe her high Times salary taxes would increase 1% more under the Clinton health plan. Maybe her make-up smears if she tears.
But gee whiz, she's a one trick pony and the Times pays its circus horsey well.
